Festive look in Ritu Kumar

With Rakshabandhan and Janamashtmi recently gone by, and Navratri and Dusshera just around the corner, the festive season has officially begun and so has the time to start hoarding on those beautiful ethnic outfits that you have desired for so long. Indian festivals not only present you with an opportunity to connect with your loved ones and eat disproportionate amounts of food and sweets without any guilt, but they are also the perfect occasions to flaunt your most vibrant ethnic outfits.

I personally love dressing up in Indian outfits. With nine days of Navratri followed by Dusshera, numerous card parties and then Diwali, no amount of ethnic outfits will be enough and now is the time to start planning for your vividly extensive ethnic wardrobe for the season. So I’ll be doing a series of Indian/ ethnic outfit posts this month to help you guys select from the best options available in all price ranges. I hope you guys are as excited for #theglitterchicfestiveseries as I am.

For the first look, I picked up this simple and beautiful printed long kurta from Ritu Kumar. Ritu Kumar is a brand that’s known for it’s intricate prints and wearable designs. I am personally a huge fan of this brand as they have a huge variety of options to choose from in different price ranges. I was attracted to the bright colour combination and the print of this long Kurta as soon as I laid my eyes on it. The flowing silhouette gives the outfit a dreamy feel and the cotton fabric is very comfortable for the present humid weather in India. The earthy tones lend the attire an autumnal feel. I paired the kurta with Mojris from Ritu Kumar.

It can be paired with oxidized silver or golden jewellery for a Bohemian inspired look perfect for Navratri especially Dandiya nights. The kurta is priced at INR 9500 and it,s totally worth buying as it can be worn comfortably even after the festivities are over, as a kurta or even as a maxi dress cinched at waist with a tan coloured belt. It can also be paired with a casual jacket and a high bun for a toned-down everyday look. Here are some pictures from the look that I created-

Hope you guys enjoyed this look. I’ll soon be back with more posts for the festive season. Till then take care and keep glittering in style.
