NYFW Lookbook

It’s been almost a month since I returned from New York and I still can’t believe that I got to attend one of the most prestigious fashion events this year, i.e., the New York Fashion Week!! I attended fashion shows on 3 days during my stay in New York, and in this post I’ll be sharing all the details of my outfits that I wore to the fashion week.

Winter fashion in New York has mostly been about neutral palettes, with black and grey being the most popular colour options, but I decided to take a chance with my looks and go all colourful because let’s admit that fashion weeks are about being a little extra. And I’m so glad that I opted for bright hues because street style at this season’s NYFW was all about wearing the colours loud and proud.

Before I begin sharing my outfit deets with you guys, I want to thank the uber talented designer Kanika Goyal for helping me out at the very last moment and customising such outstanding outfits for me. Inspite of her busy schedule and flying between Mumbai and Delhi for her own show at Lakme fashion week in Mumbai, she was very patient with me and made sure that I got what I wanted. You can visit her studio in Block A, Defence Colony.

So here are all the pictures and details of the outfits that I wore to NYFW-

For the first day, I wore a coordinated wool skirt and a long jacket in bright red hue from Kanika Goyal Label with pink interlocking G sweater from Gucci cruise 2019 collection. The jacket had a zipper and a panel inside with snap buttons for bomber jacket like details and the skirt had overlapping details on the front. I accessorised the outfit with black double G pearl embellished belt from Gucci, black jadior handbag from Dior and black over the knee leather boots from Aldo.

For the second day, I wore a wool coat over wool trousers in purple colour with a powder blue shirt- all from Kanika Goel Label. I accessorised the outfit with white leather boots from Zara and white handbag from Michael Kors. I completed the look with white watch and bracelet from Daniel Wellington.

For the third day, I wore a long yellow coat with zipper in front and light grey contrast detailing from Kanika Goel Label with floral print pants from Alice&Olivia. I carried a yellow box bag from Topshop with the outfit and although I had planned on wearing tan suede boots with this outfit, I had to change it to white leather boots as it was snowing and raining continuously and I didn’t want to ruin my suede boots. I completed the look with tinted sunglasses from Vogue eyewear.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post. Let me know which outfit did you like the most. Until next time, take care and keep glittering in style.
